My progession to full stack
Inspired by a grassroots life insurance app developed at Elimu Community Center, I began learning computer programming in 2021 with Python using FreeCodeCamp and PY4E. I made basic automation scripts, web-scrapers, web-crawlers, and interacted with APIs. I loved discovering the power of code on my own, but I wanted a more immersive learning experience with the aid of professional developers.
In mid-2022, I signed up for the Software Engineering Immersion course at Thinkful. Over the course of 6 months, I learned modern web development using HTML5, CSS3, client-side programming with JavaScript ES6, ReactJS, Bootstrap, and server-side programming with NodeJS, Express.js, PostgreSQL, and applied best practices along the way by building projects (see below).
